The list of America’s Best Diversity Employers was compiled by an independent survey of more than 50,000 employees of companies that employ at least 1,000 people in the United States. Survey participants were asked their thoughts on a range of statements regarding age, gender equality, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQA+ and general diversity regarding their own employer. To ensure that the opinions of diverse groups were reflected, recommendations from women, elders and ethnic minorities were weighted significantly higher than recommendations from non-minority groups. In addition, participants had the chance to evaluate other employers in their respective industries who stand out positively or negatively in terms of diversity.
