Responding to the call for competence-based learning |

Many colleges and universities are responding to the growing demand for competency-based learning by offering alternative degrees and competency-based education (CBE) programs. These programs help learners acquire the skills sought by employers; help employers re-skill their workforce; and help higher education institutions reach new learners, increase enrollment and strengthen community partnerships. While some institutions have long-established programs, others are just beginning to think about how they might better meet the needs of learners and employers.

During the webinar, our panel of higher education professionals from Chatfield College and Bay de Noc Community College will share institutional strategies and best practices for successfully implementing alternative degrees and CBE programs. These will be methods that any institution of higher education can repeat.
