RMIT’s second Skills and Jobs Center has opened on RMIT’s Bundoora campus – offering free expert advice on training, retraining and employment options for prospective students, job seekers employment and members of the community.

In partnership with the Victorian Department of Education and Training and the Victorian Skills Authority, the Center provides support and information to the local community and prospective students on a range of topics – from career advice to market entry from work or career change, to apprenticeship and internship. Mish Eastman shared that the valuable location of our Bundoora campus means our students and other job seekers will have access to community and industry partners they might not otherwise have been aware of.

“Expanding our service offering to Bundoora will help RMIT connect with employers, schools and community stakeholders in the Northern Corridor – which is such an important growth area for local jobs and skills. “

RMIT’s first skills and employment center located on the city campus opened in 2016 and since its inception has provided over 7,000 career counseling sessions with students and community clients, worked with many community workers and employers and has helped thousands of people find work or study.

As well as serving the residents and citizens of Victoria through the Centre, RMIT also provides career support through VE Career Support and the Job Shop. These free services are available for RMIT students to receive individual consultation and advice on career planning.
