Training titled Startup and digital skills training for young people held

A practical skills development training for students at the University of Peshawar was organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Pakistan in institutional collaboration with the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) of the University of Peshawar.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – September 19, 2022): Practical skills development training for students at the University of Peshawar has been organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) Pakistan in institutional collaboration with the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) from the University of Peshawar.

According to a press release issued here on Monday, a two-day training titled “Startup and Digital Skills Training for Youth” was held here.

About 25 students from different departments attended the training workshop, including Afghan students studying at the University of Peshawar.

The training workshop aimed to enable young people to understand the potential of developing digital skills and to help them turn their ideas into businesses and startups for self-employability and autonomy after completing their studies.

Professor Babar Shah, Director of IPCS, welcomed the students and emphasized learning new skills to fight unemployment and contribute to the national economy.

Aamir Amjad, Senior Program Manager of FNF, appreciated the interest of young students and said that digital skills can revolutionize new business and the participation of trained young people in the national economy can excel in economic growth.

He encouraged participants to learn essential digital skills and tools and features of new business ideas for self-reliance and income generation.

The two-day training was led by Kayenat Hameed Khan, who provided participants with knowledge on the startup ecosystem, team building, entrepreneurial procedures, online tools and practices essential to running a business and digital marketing techniques.

She also provided hands-on learning through interactive exercises and examples to deeply understand the local startup ecosystem and its legal and administrative requirements.

Additionally, she also discussed how new skill sets such as digital marketing, content management, social media tools, and necessary business research can help increase new startups’ chances of success and improve work. independent among young people.

At the end of the training, Dr. Babar Shah and Aamir Amjad distributed the certificate of participation to the students.
